We want everyone who uses our services to receive safe, reliable care. If something has gone wrong, or you have feedback about how we could do better, we want to hear from you. Raising a concern will never affect the care you receive.
1. Talk to our team first
Most problems can be put right quickly. Contact our team and we will work with you to sort things out:
2. Make a formal complaint
If we haven’t resolved your concern to your satisfaction, you can make a formal complaint. Formal complaints must be made in writing, so that we have a clear record. We cannot accept formal complaints by phone.
- Email: complaints@northernmedicalnetwork.co.uk, with “Formal complaint” at the start of the subject line
- Post: Haroon Amanji, Northern Medical Network Limited, Business First Centre, Millennium City Park, Millennium Road, Preston, PR2 5BL
Please include as much detail as you can, such as dates, names, any order or reference numbers and copies of relevant messages. This helps us look into your complaint quickly.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days.
- A named member of our team takes it on. They may contact you for more information, and you can send them anything else you think is relevant. Please keep your correspondence about the complaint with them, so everything is recorded in one place.
- We aim to resolve your complaint within 28 days, and often sooner. If it needs a fuller investigation, it may take longer, but we will keep you updated.
We handle complaints confidentially. Where there is a safeguarding concern, we may be required to share information with the appropriate authorities.
3. Ask us to review the outcome
If you are unhappy with how we handled your complaint, you can ask for it to be reviewed within three months of receiving our response. A member of our management team who was not involved in the original complaint will review it, including what you were unhappy with about the outcome. If we think a review is unlikely to lead to a different outcome, we will tell you.
4. Contact the regulator
If you do not wish to take your complaint further with us, or you remain unhappy after our review, you can contact the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), which regulates our pharmacy and prescribers:
- Online: pharmacyregulation.org/raising-concerns
- Telephone: 020 3713 8000
For concerns about how we handle your personal information, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
